essay on interwars

The interwar period was between 1918 to1939. It was the time from World War I to World War II. During this period most of the world had a huge 180® turn. Economies went crashing, unemployment was everywhere, alliances were being broken, etc. There were many leaders who tried to control the population of each country. Most of them did some positive changes, but they didn’t turn out so successful at the end.

Britain had a very hard time recovering from World War I. David Lloyd tried to control the country as if it was still in war. The people kept working a large amount of hours and they didn’t get paid as much as they should have. Of course, the people had enough of that and decided to start a strike. The economy went crashing down and had a very negative change. Unemployment was probably the most popular thing because everyone was in it. It was actually pretty rare for people to have a permanent job. UK was not the only one who had a terrible economy. Germany was also part of that. They had a huge amount of debts because according to the Treaty of Versailles Versailles Versailles Versailles had to pay countries like France, who were completely destroyed. Where was Germany supposed to get all this money from? This is when the US kicked in. Investors provided Germany with money. This was going okay until the stock market went down. No money was being provided to Germany nor the United States. In Italy, the people were going crazy since there were a lot of territories promised, but they never got them.

If certain leaders went to different countries, many changes could have occurred. David Lloyd would have been a great leader in Germany during the time in which they didn’t have money. He could have made the people work hard and raise their economy. On the other hand, Hitler would probably had been better in Italy. He controlled the territory of other countries, and what Italians wanted was gain more territory. If Hitler had the control of Italy, he probably would have accomplished their goal and expanded their territories. Another example of dictators that might have worked on other countries is Stalin. The country that I think would have had a great success with him in power is France. If he had the control over that country, their economy wouldn't have depended as much on Germany. They would have been able to set goals and try to accomplish it, which was Stalin's basic idea. Each leader had their qualities that might have helped some countries more than others.

During the interwar period, all countries went through major changes. Some of them were good, but most of them were bad. Maybe, at the time they seemed positive and correct, but at the end, the result wasn't what people expected and it all went down hill. I think that if so many problems wouldn't have began during this period, World War 2 might have not occurred.

Reflect on Prezi

"Prezi" is one of the most amazing programs I've worked on. It is simply great how many slides you can create with this program. Its mostly like PowerPoint, but basically they are so different. Prezi counts with so much resources than PowerPoint. The Service allows you to upload, transmit, publish and disseminate pictures, text, and audio visual content (“User Content”) for the purposes of creating your own personalized Prezi presentations and sharing such content. At first, I had some difficulties by using "Prezi" I couldn't understand things about uploading files or changing of slides. Then with the tutorials we were supposed to read, I learned that you only need to drag the slide and we would have a new slide. It was actually easier than what I thought.

My opinion of which of these two websites I prefer, I will totally prefer "Prezi" Prezi is so much better than PowerPoint. Prezi counts with so many resources. For color, uploading files. It was way more technology than PowerPoint. In Prezi, you can zoom in. Zooming is awesome. You can have tiny little things hidden on the page and with a click you can zoom right in. Also you can jump all over the page and its so easy. t may be a good option for presenters, but as for being a replacement for PowerPoint, my experience to date with it leads me to believe that it could replace certain uses of PowerPoint, like when a whiteboard presentation would suit the content or meeting objectives better than PowerPoint slides.I see Prezi as another visual presentation tool that I might suggest such as a video or flash animation rather than a PowerPoint slide show for certain types of information sharing of content or type of meeting event. In my opinion, Prezi is way more better than PowerPoint.

he process we went through

My video was actually pretty good. I did liked many things about it, I thought it was very entertaining, and you could really understand about the issue about being more careful with the internet. Personally I thought it was very funny, and that it had true stories about what really happen in real life. How people really get kidnap by meeting a total stranger through via internet. Me and Priscila, planned our video very well, each seen we wrote what we were going to use and the dialogue we were going to say during the video. Our video was great!

Priscila and me struggled a lot in the video because I missed one week of school and then she left, but we could record some part of the video. Most of the video was at school, which I didn't liked at all, but as I live very far from Nuevo Vallarta, which we were planning to do it there, we decided if would have been better if we recorded at school. Basically you could say that those were the only things that we had trouble and the thing I would have changed would have been to film it at other location, but our video was totally awesome!

The class did a great job on making the PSA videos. They were simple awesome and very original. Although there was two of them which I simply thought they were the best. Y choosed Debora's & Jade and Fernanda Corzo and Adri's. The reason why I choose Debo's & Jade's was because they were very original because they were actually filming in a real party where the was alcohol, and they could really demonstrate the issue about how does drinking affects you and others. The video was funny, and my favorite part was when Jade was supposing vomiting in the toilet. The other video I really liked, was Adri's and Fer's. Their video was about anorexia & bulimia which I thought it was a great topic because many young girls suffer this terrible disease. The message they give in the video, really makes you think about making the right decision. About finishing with this terrible thing, that leads you to death. All they videos were great, but some them needed more work or effort. I would have seriously not recorded my video at school, because it seems kind of lame... So probably the ones who recorded their videos in school should have done it somewhere else.

PSA

A PSA is an advertisement that is on television , radio or another media that its basic use is to inform. The objective of a PSA is to raise awareness or change behaviors and attitudes on a social issue. Public service advertising relies on donated media. In other words, a PSAdo not purchase paid airtime or space. A PSA “ask” that a media outlet - whether it’s a TV or radio station, magazine, newspaper, internet provider, or billboard company - run our PSAs for free. PSAs are always sponsored by a nonprofit or government agency whereas a commercial is paid for by a private company who then purchase airtime and space to run their ad. A commercial's effectt of is to advertise upon the viewing public and persuade people. They are very different in many ways because a PSA is actually giving you a message and is teaching you something, while a commercial just informs and you don't learn anything from it. They can be similar because they can be presented by the same sources, like tv, radio etc. As you have seen a PSA and a commercial are very different ways of informing, but they also share common characteristics.

I would like to work with many people in my class, but specially with these three girls: Adriana Rizzuto, Priscila Garibay and Ximena Mendez. I would like to work with these girls because I really get along with them and they are very dedicated girls, how always try to achieve good grades. They are also creative and they know how to work in teams.

List:
sex & proteccion
sexual transmitted diseases
anorexia & bulimia
trusting people
drinking and driving
teeange drinking
drugs & alcohol
low-self steem

If I had to choose three of these topics I would probably chose teenage drinking, anorexia and bulimia and low-self steem. I would like to choose one of these topics because this are problems that most of the teenagers suffer right now. They go under very rough and important decisions in this period of time, so these problems are essential. For anorexia and bulimia I would probably try to make girls to become secure about their body, and not be all ashamed or stressed out. Helping them to undergo eating disorders. On the other hand, if i had to choose teeange drinking will be persuading teenagers to not be drinking before they are underage, because seriously they don't know what they are really doing. Last but not least if will be about how mostly teeangers have a low-self teem, because maybe they feel nobody understands them, and how they have trouble making friends. This is a very important topic I would like to discuss.
