Internet at home

This is a very interesting video about teenagers using internet. Internet has become an addictions for many people. Especially teenagers, they spend hours and hours online. Parents find this concern because they don't have any idea about what their kids are doing on Internet. This is a great example for people to follow. In the video we hear a variety of voices, form teachers, parents and students. Their stories are very shocking because we see that parents have really no idea what goes on with kids and the Internet. Theres so many stories about students who had many troubles with the famous social websties. Internet is a great source to communicate and we should know how to use it correctly.

Online Relationships-- Healthy or Unhealthy

Online relationships can be unhealthy or healthy? Well that really depends. I think that your reputation really matters. It is ok to have a online realtionship until you start to perjudict others. When people start to use social websties to hurt others people's feelings, that is an issue. No one has the right to make you feel you're not worth it. There has been some causes were people use facebook or other websites to attack people, and say bad things to them, which is a very coward way to do. I hate when people don't have the strength to come to your face and tell you what they want to tell you. An other issue happening in social websties is that people might get a wrong idea from you. They have been some issues were guys think girls are flirting with them... or that they are sluts. Which is horrible, because your reputation is involve and maybe your parents might judge you too. Online relationships can be healthy and also can be dangerous, we just need to be aware.

Parenting, Privacy and Control

Now in days we use many social websites to communicate with our friends family, etc. One example is facebook. Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, Parents are becoming very concern about their kids visiting social websites. Parents are forcing their kids to give them their personal passwords which I think this is an exaggeration. Why should parents get in their kids privacy. Teenagers are not that stupid, and know that when a stranger ask you were you lived obviously you're not gonna tell them. I know parents sometimes should be concern, but they have to remember that we like our privacy so as them. They also think in that way because they weren't grown up with the internet around them. They think that what we do is wrong. The truth is we just like to have fun. We like to communicate with others. I would be concern if an 8 year old boy or girl was on social websites because they are little and they don't know all the trouble outside. Social Media is a necessity and parents shouldn't exaggerate that much.

Entertainer

From all of my teachers in High School, I've never met a great entertainment like Miss Fenton is. Miss Fenton is great to entertain. I like the way she speaks. The context of her words. She is very direct and never hides what her thoughts and feelings are. She always tells you what I like his point on which we teach, because it is a sarcastic, and very strict but when he says his stuff instead of getting angry I have fun! She says things without lying, she always telling you how things are. Shes strict in terms of homework and writing, and the little tiny errors can make your grade go down. That's the only thing I don't like about her. I don't think theirs a negative consequence of expecting teachers to be entertaining, i think is great!

My Holidays

My Christmas Break was ok... I thought it was going to be way better but it was more of chilling. On Wed dec 15 was our last day of school. It was our posada, and the eight and seventh grades had to come to sing at the posada. We sang a Santa Claus song which caunted for our music grade. When the party finished I went back home and did my homework so I did`t had to worry to do my homework. The next day I went with my friends to Nuevo Vallarta because most of them were leaving Puerto Vallarta to spend christmas in other places. We stayed at Adri's house for a bit and then we went to the beach. The rest of the day i got back home and went to my dad's restaurant to work. The next day I went to my cousin's house, it was her 22nd birthay. We went to have some breakfast at a popular restaurant call "Rio" the food was great but what i enjoyed the most was watching Melissa's happy face.

On the weekend I just went to the movies with my cousins and hang out at their houses, and on the afternoons I went to work. That weekend was a bit relaxing. On Chirstmas night my family did a big party at my grandmas house. We did the wonderful giving exchange and had a delicious meal. I had a great time that night. The next day my parents and I went to eat to Kensao at Galerias and then we entered to the movies. We saw an interesting movie call Avatar. It was very interesting and had a lot of suspense. On that weekend I went out with some friends to Mandala and we had an amazing time! The next day my mom got a phone call from the hospital San Javier telling us that an uncle was very sick, that he had gotten a heart attack. Immediatly all of the family arrived to the hospital and we spend there for hours. My uncle was in intensive care. He spend there 2 days and on Monday he passed away.

It was a very emotive moment. I felt so terrible. I saw every family memeber so sad that I cried a lot. The funeral took two days long, because their sons were not in Mexico so we had to wait for them. On the 30 was the day they buried him. My mom spoke to me and then I felt much better. On the 31 some friends called us and ivited us to a party at their house in Nuevo Vallarta. We decided to go and we had a great time. Probably I think it was one of the best new years i've had. The next days i didn't did much. Just work and hang out with my friends and family. This vacations were ok.. I thought they were going to be better but I don't regret.

Roller Coaster

Today we were able to go to see the 12 grade projects. They were very original, interesting. They were 6 projects and all of them were great. In my opinion they all seem hard to do. They were many small details that required a lot of effort. If some tiny thing went wrong the hole project got all messed up. The first one we saw was the one of a Chinese thing. The decoration was pretty cool but the marbles were supposed to pass the roler coster . The most projects tried them and could like until the third time. My favorite one was Melida's, Marifer read and marifer. They made it of cotton candy it was very original and looked delicious. Also i liked Rafa's, Paulina's and Sandra's. It was about soccer, and i found it very cool when they threw the marble and it fell in the soccer goal. All of the projects were intersting and hard to elaborate. They took a lot of time to make and it and i found it pretty amazing. Definately i can't wait to be in 12 grade to mak this project.

Speech

In our English class we're talking about speeches, and last Friday we had a Mexican, American dude named Francisco. He came and gave us an inteesting speech about his tough experience in Iraq. Can you guys belive this guy was actually in our school. He graduated years ago and aperently he still is very interested in the school. He went into a military school in the states and told us about his experience of being a Mexican American in the states. He told us that it was a very tough thing. That many students in his class couldn't handle that a mexican was graduating and they wouldn't. He passed through very hard moments. He never gave up, which I felt very proud of him. He also told us about his experience in Iraq. He did many challenging things. He said the most shocking thing he did was when he acctidently killed a 15 year old kid. He hasn't get over it yet. We asked questions about how he thought that the U.S army helped Iraq and the world. In my opinion he is an admirable person and his speech was absolutely unforgetable.
