Roller Coaster

Today we were able to go to see the 12 grade projects. They were very original, interesting. They were 6 projects and all of them were great. In my opinion they all seem hard to do. They were many small details that required a lot of effort. If some tiny thing went wrong the hole project got all messed up. The first one we saw was the one of a Chinese thing. The decoration was pretty cool but the marbles were supposed to pass the roler coster . The most projects tried them and could like until the third time. My favorite one was Melida's, Marifer read and marifer. They made it of cotton candy it was very original and looked delicious. Also i liked Rafa's, Paulina's and Sandra's. It was about soccer, and i found it very cool when they threw the marble and it fell in the soccer goal. All of the projects were intersting and hard to elaborate. They took a lot of time to make and it and i found it pretty amazing. Definately i can't wait to be in 12 grade to mak this project.

Speech

In our English class we're talking about speeches, and last Friday we had a Mexican, American dude named Francisco. He came and gave us an inteesting speech about his tough experience in Iraq. Can you guys belive this guy was actually in our school. He graduated years ago and aperently he still is very interested in the school. He went into a military school in the states and told us about his experience of being a Mexican American in the states. He told us that it was a very tough thing. That many students in his class couldn't handle that a mexican was graduating and they wouldn't. He passed through very hard moments. He never gave up, which I felt very proud of him. He also told us about his experience in Iraq. He did many challenging things. He said the most shocking thing he did was when he acctidently killed a 15 year old kid. He hasn't get over it yet. We asked questions about how he thought that the U.S army helped Iraq and the world. In my opinion he is an admirable person and his speech was absolutely unforgetable.

Biography

Hi! My name is Paola. I'm an eight grade student in a private school in Puerto Vallarta. I'm fourteen years old. I'm a very open girl who likes to meet new people. I'm actually very friendly. On the weekends I like to hang out with my friends. Go to the beach, the movies or hang out at their houses. Being with them is amazing because we have a lot of fun. We laugh about dumb things, but its amazing to spend time with them. My best friends are Debora, Ximena, Adriana, Sofia, Hope, and Courtney. All of them go to my school, and in my same classroom. On the other hand, now I'm going to tell you about my family.

In my family we are five. My Mom, my Dad, and my two sisters. My Dad's name is Ruben and my Mom's name is Maria. I'm the medium of my two sisters. My older sister's name is Alejandra. Shes 19 years, but she doesn't live here. She lives in Guadalajara because she went to College. My younger sister is Ana Sofia, shes 6 years old and she at the same school as me. She is in pre-first. My family is unique. Sometimes we had issues and differences but we're always together and will never change my family.

They always support me when I need their help and that makes me feel so good. I feel I'm a very lucky person because i had what many people would like to have. I have a great family that worries about my education and me and lot of friends who are awesome and love me very much. Seriously I love my life and I wouldn't change it for anything in the entire world.

Class Projects

Today in the class we heard very interesting projects. To be honest some of them were great and some of them not very great. They had a variety of sound effects which they were pretty amazing! I heard a couple and I liked the remixes. Songs and lyrics were mixed and that made an spectacular rhythm. Although some of them were very creative they very repetitive. They were sound effects that last like 40 seconds wich is a big amout of time. They should be like 15 or 10 maximum. There was a sound effect that most of the people in the class used. They all raped. which I though it was vry cool. They started raping and when you listened the song it sounded like a real rap song. I don't really want to say names but the one i like the most was Rodrigo's. Hes projects simply was wonderful. It was creative, it has an amazing rhythm and very unique. The projects i saw yesterday were pretty good actually andi'm very proud of the craftmanship of my class.

Listening

In my audacity project I used many different sounds. I tried to based more in ocean sounds because I wanted something relaxing. But then i realized that i would be better if i recorded sounds and tried to make more noise. The one that I used the most was the sounds I recorded. I made different rap sounds, singing and others, but definitely the one that was more repetitive was the singing part. On the other hand most of my classmates didn't recorded much, they based more in sounds. Something i could have put more background sounds. Although my project was great!

Audacity Project

My audacity project was adequate and outstanding. I thought I could have done a better work. Some of the sounds I recorded were a bit lame. Although I like the remix I did. I mixed the sounds I recorded and the different kind of noises. First I started with a background which was the sound of seashore. It gave a very relaxing sound, that make me remember my summer vacation. I used a variety of background sounds like for example gulls, carpenter and wind sounds. The others, I recorded them. I made rap and i also sang. I think that the rap part was the best. Mahonry my classmate helped me a little, and we did an amazing rhythm and beat. On my opinion I thought it was kind of hard, because i tried to make a good rhythm and a beat and sometimes it didn't worked how I wanted. If i could guess who will be the winner it will be Mahonry. I think hes project is very creative and actually is very fun! i love how he mixed the song disturbia, and then he recored some sounds. My project from audacity was pretty interesting and cool.

My mash up (Mine)

My mash was very creative. I did it of scary songs, because I love terror. I thought it was a very original idea because the rhythm was very cool. I changed the tone in the songs, and it sounded very creepy. It sounded like your were acutally in a hounted house. I tried to used songs that are used in scary movies wich I thought it was very original. What I think i could
improved was in the songs, althought they were good they were a little boring i think. My group was getting a lit bit annoyed. Seriously I loved mine and I was very proud!
