Enviromental Issues

The most serious environmental issue that the world is facing right now, is rain forest destruction. Now in days, people are destroying many beautiful and important forests all over the world. Our rainforests are being destroying for many particular reasons, but the most is because of industries. One and one-half acres of rainforest are lost every second with tragic consequences for both developing and industrial countries. Industries like We are losing Earth's greatest biological treasures just as we are beginning to appreciate their true value. Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now they cover a mere 6% and experts estimate that the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years. Rainforests are being destroyed because the value of rainforest land is perceived as only the value of its timber by short-sighted governments, multi-national logging companies, and land owners. Nearly half of the world's species of plants, animals and microorganisms will be destroyed or severely threatened over the next quarter century due to rainforest deforestation. We seriously need to take care of all of our forests. We need to be more considerate. We should recycle, reuse and reduce. There's people, that waste a lot of paper without thinking that all of those papers are dead trees. The beauty, majesty, and timelessness of the rainforests are indescribable. It is impossible to describe in words, or to explain to those who have never had the awe-inspiring experience of standing in the heart of a rainforest. But we really need to do something, to stop this big issue. If I could do something to help this issue, I would do many groups, to stop this. I would do recycle, and reuse the same papers. I would really try this to work. Remember this is not impossible, be the change you want to see in the world -Ghandi.

  1. This was actually very good yet I expected a little bit more of information. Also, I do not think that this is the most serious issue but it is still and issue. I have to say in that case that I disagree with you neverhtheless, you did a great job (almost) on talking about this issue and concerning us with that problem. (I lost myself at the end)

  2. Waa!! You are the first person paragraph I'd read who talks about the destruction of rainforest. Trees are really important because they are essential for life. Without trees there wouldn't be oxygen to breath and many animals wouldn't have a plase to live. Is kind of scary to see how the forest is desapearing over the few years. You've mention that, "Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now they cover a mere 6%."
I just wondered how can such a small amount of trees can support oxygen for the millions of people that live in this world.
